for CWod - I personally witnessed this myself and it did not appear to be far away from where I was located.  It seemed to be hovering over the bay, say maybe 1,000 feet above the water

Could very well be the phenomenom know as a Twinkling Star. Did the "UFO" appear to be in the lower to mid horizon? Our wonderful earths atmosphere effects the way stars appear. Especially in the lower latitudes because you are seeing it thru more of the atmosphere. As the earth revolves and the stars slowly climb up they become clearer. I saw dozens if not hundreds of these over the years, really just noticing it after Sept 11th when anything unusual caused attention. I did some research and this is what I found out. Looking at them with the naked eye showed raphid color changes thats why I thought it was some sort of aerospace vehicle (red green white) like a helicopter's navigation lights, then thru strong binoculars and a crapy telescope all I could see were rings of the same colors. An hour or two later and they were gone. WTF? They always appeared stationary and over to the east.....cause thats were the sun moon and stars rise above the horizon. Ever notice the moon sometimes appears orange then it gradually turns to its normal greyish white....that is why. So as much as I want to think there are other life forms out there, this is a logical explanation of the events. Sorry guys.

We have received additional sightings at the reported time that night.  Up until now we have not received any video or photos of the event.  IF ANYONE HAS VIDEO or PHOTOS of the sighting please post here.

Someone has to have a picture of this... How long was it in the sky? There has been sightings in the past.. Also what direction where the lights? Night op flares from Ft Dix could be seen from that distance..

we currently have sightings reported from last night in Lavalette, Seaside Heights, Atlantic City, Toms River, and Bayville just before 10:00pm
