Explain Yourself !

I can't get outside, and most of the things I need to get done are (you guessed it) outside. No matter, I'm making the best of it, and have decided not to worry about rain water infiltrating my basement. I am relieved beyond belief that (a) I'm not shoveling snow in October, and (b) I said no to a friend's offer of a seat to today's Rutgers - WV game Writer's note: I crossed "attend monsoon game" off my bucket list the last time RU visited West Point.

Chicken stock on the stove, and the first NCAA game doesn't kick off for a few hours. So, what to do?  Well, think I'll spend a few minutes explaining myself. My name is Joe and I'm addicted to sports, especially local high school football & baseball. I have what some (as in, my spouse) would say is an unhealthy obsession with football, attending as many games as possible. As such, I've become the most accomplished analyst in my neighborhood not drawing a paycheck for my thoughts. I've also been playing fantasy football in multiple leagues dating back to 1995, and have finished in the green 13 times. 

What's this have to do with anything? Up until today, not a thing. I've been asked to create a weekly blog. I'm thinking "Joe's Rants" or something along those lines. Feel free to send your suggestions for topics. Oh, and I LOVE a good debate.
