"Down The Shore" almost 20 years ago...the original Jersey Shore?

"Down the Shore" was a sitcom that ran on Fox from June 21, 1992 to May 27, 1993.
The show revolved around three childhood friends, Aldo, Zack, and Eddie. In hopes of meeting women at the Jersey Shore over the summer, they decided to get a beach house in Belmar, New Jersey. (Does this sound familiar????) To cover expenses, they share the beach house with three female co-workers, Donna - a naiive receptionist, Miranda - an idealistic graphic artist, and Arden - a bitchy ice-princess account executive. (Hmmmm oh boy) The women worked together at a Manhatten advertising agency. Miranda was written out of the second series due to her job and just could not hit the Shore. Ready for this...her replacement was a woman named Sammy a sexy childhood friend of Arden's, whom Aldo once had a fling with!  Was someone at MTV or 495 Productions watching this show nearly twenty years ago week in and week out? Even though the show was a comedy, it did have one notable episode that depicted something that was common of the era where Aldo, a man whose chief interest is seducing women, had been briefly hospitalized and was awaiting the result of an AIDS test. This made all the roommates of the beach house, while supportive of Aldo awaiting the results, take a step back realize the potential consequences of casual sex.
The show ran for 29 episodes over two seasons. ........
