At what point did music stop being a social badge for the masses to be identified by?
When did it stop influencing fashion?
When did it stop connecting on a deeper, visceral level?

MY ANSWER: I could not even comment without really going off. ...it's not just music , it's sports and pretty much anything related to entertainment. In addition to that there were days when a parent would tell their child "You can grow up to be President" Ha! Then you have the disposable generation....everything with them is "Oh let's just get a new one" I can remember my Father would have something forever and took care of it to last...he would also be outside checking the car tires air pressure, the oil, clean the windshield etc before any long trip we were about to embark on. I think the kids today think cars run on air??? Nobody gives a shit and true talent btw many times is overlooked. MTV has not helped the situation with music ....remember there was a time when music was just a sound and not an image. So it's not so much as to when we lost IT but to how we lost IT and will we ever get it back... Well now that I have been wound up this by this rant this morning off to work I go....be well and I hope I answered your post
