Event Description

Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library will host an engaging presentation on Monday, March 14th @ 6:30 pm which provides an overview of human trafficking with a particular emphasis on the commercial sexual exploitation of children.

This program will provide information about the scope of commercial sexual exploitation in New Jersey, risk factors for exploitation, indicators for identifying victims, state and national resources, and prevention strategies. Provided by the Prevent Child Abuse of New Jersey.

Free Professional Development hours are offered and beverages made available through the Ocean County Human Services.

*These programs are funded through a community collaboration of the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Ocean County Youth Service Commission, the Ocean County Health Department, the Ocean County Superior Court Juvenile Probation Division, the Ocean County Library, the Municipal Alliance Project and the New Jersey Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.
